Groundbreaking Ceremony for Local Converter Valve Factory of Saudi Central-South Flexible DC Transmission Project

On February 16th, the groundbreaking ceremony of the local assembly and test factory for the converter valve of the Central-South Flexible DC Transmission Project in Saudi Arabia was successfully carried out in Alfanar Industrial City, Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. Representatives of NARI had in-depth conversations with Eng. Khalil Ibrahim Ibn Salamah, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, and Abdulsalam Al Mutlaq, Chairman of the Alfanar Group, regarding the progress of the localization construction of high-voltage direct current equipment.




Abdulsalam Al Mutlaq extended a warm welcome to representatives from all parties and expressed sincere gratitude for their care and support for the local assembly and test factory of the converter valve constructed by Alfanar Electrical. He indicated that the factory building is expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2025. Moreover, it will carry out exclusive cooperation with the converter valve products of C-EPRI, a subsidiary of NARI Group. This Cooperation will create favorable conditions for the local assembly and testing processes of the semi-finished valve modules of the Central-South Flexible DC Project.



In the subsequent stage, NARI and Alfanar will further enhance the overall management of the construction of the local converter valve factory, promote the timely delivery of the factory building, and ensure the smooth progress of the production, quality system establishment, and team building of the local factory.
