On March 26, 2025, No.2 main transformer of 230kV CALACA Substation, undertaken by NARI Power Transformation Technology Branch Company, was successfully commissioned in the Philippines. It is the first overseas substation project using the NS5000 English operating system of NARI.
Located in Calaca, Batangas Province, the Philippines, the CALACA Substation is geographically crucial and significant for regional power supply. It's equipped with three 230/69kV main transformers. The 230kV side uses a 3/2 wiring configuration with 9 outgoing lines connecting to different areas to meet varied power demands. The 69kV side features a single bus sectional wiring with 4 lines, enhancing power supply stability and controllability. As a key hub in Batangas Province, it plays a central role in regional power transmission, linking with six 230kV large substations to form a large, reliable power gird.
During the construction of the CALACA Substation, NARI technical service team collaborated closely with all parties, ensuring efficient communication and strong guarantee for the success of the project. The successful commissioning of the No.2 main transformer has significantly enhanced the power supply capacity of the substation, providing strong power support for industrial production and residents' lives in Batangas Province and driving regional economic growth. With its advanced technology and professional services, the project has set a high-quality example in the Philippine power market, laying a solid foundation for future international cooperation and overseas business expansion.
